It should be fine. I nor many other of my TBI gurus have ever had a problem running a 255l pump on the stock regulator. There are stories of those who have blown a diaphram in the regulator but that is very rare and if it does happen a new one will stand up to the duty.

im currently stumped on the fuel thing too. I just purchased a walbro 255. BUt do i need a JET AFPR to run that properly. I dont think my stock 305 injector pod came with an adjustable regulator. What am i to do here.
A summit tech said i need a jet regulator PART NUMBER 61501 30-70 psi.
any thoughts?

You do not need an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator if you are keeping the stock fuel pressure with the 255l pump. The stock regulator will be able to handle the extra pressure and send the excess pressure down the return line. Now if you are trying to adjust your fuel pressure than yes you need an adjustable regulator. This holds true for any fuel pump you use. You can turn your stock one into an adjustable one for far cheaper than an aftermarket unit.

I would turn the stock one into an adjustable one but nowadays I just find myself with not much time on my hands. Example--> I swapped my engine in May of 2006. I didnt get it transported fron nashville to UT til NOV of 2006 I dont even have a plate on the car yet..lol
BUt all of you guys have been tremendous in my helping me bring the chevy back to life!

I just checked out turbocity.com and I think im goin to go with 68#injectors, walbro 255 and AFRP, Open element on top. I think that will be enuff to feed 350hp
I chose the walbro 255 and 68#ers because im going to a N20 tbi setup in late 07'. Only a 35 to 75 shot.
