I was wondering if there is any way to tell the difference between 305 injectors and 350 injectors (like part number or something). I bought this on eBay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400057220510
I know I will not be able to use the intake on the Vortec we are putting together but figured with the ECM and injectors it was worth just buying this whole thing and maybe selling off the parts not needed to someone else that may need them on here. Anyway they say they are from a 92 camaro with a 350 TBI but was wondering if there is any way to be positively sure that is what it is so I can definately mark those parts off the list of parts needed to finish up this project

well, I'm not too informed on my TBI units, but I'm pretty sure TBI Camaros never came with a 350 from the factory.... I'd just check some part numbers and try to crossreference them...

yeah that is what I was afraid of, my son ordered these while I was out of town and when he asked me abut it I was busy working on something else and wasn't quite thinking straight. I am thinking these may all be the same thing I have already in my 89 RS that has the 305 already in it. the parts arrived today and thought I would make sure about the parts before i emailed the person to let them know that i think these are off of a 305 and will do us no good in our parts quest
The PROM ANTT is for '89 through '91 Camaro/Firebirds with the L03 engine (305).
Check the part number on the top of the injectors. Also look for remnants of paint dabs on the top center post of the injectors. White & green are 305 55#/hr injectors.
yeah, I'd check the info above...however I know there actually were 350 TBI engines, just never stock in F-bodies. Mainly trucks had the 350 TBI's. So there is always a chance someone swapped out the 350tbi engine into the Camaro...

well there is slight rust over all of the numbers on the injectors, the only numbers I see anyway. What I can make out isGM5235279?RPD then on the lower side of the top it has the numbers 8150 GM
I emailed the guy and he swears the camaro had a 350 in it. He said it had been switched out from something else and says the injectors are for a 350 but everything I am seeing says they are for a 305. he says the car ran fine until it was wrecked but I guess I am stuck now and don't know what to do at this point except mark it up as experience for the yungun and block his usage of my ebay account so I will be here to see what he is getting before he bids

the numbers on the intake is 10166133 and everything I seem to find online about that intake is that it came on a 1992 350 but seeing as how this intake isn't going to work with the vortec heads that wasn't going to be used anyway. Is there any special way to tell if even the prom is for a 350? i know I am pulling at straws here but still trying to see if I will be able to use anything at all in this mess

They are 305 injectors. Can always bump the fuel pressure for increased flow.
I listed the PROM calibration in my first post to this thread.
Pop the little cover off the ECM and see what is on the PROM. Stock GM PROMs have a silver label with a 3 or 4 letter code. If it is different then ANTT post the code and I'll see if I can find it.
I know ANTT is foir a 305 now and ANLU is for the cop car chip but what would be a regular 350 prom number (not for the cop car just a regular 350 TBI prom)

well just talked with the seller and he offered a refund but I decided it would cost me about as much in shipping when I figured in the shipping to me I already paid and the shipping back to him that I would be getting back. He then asked me if I wanted him to find me some 350 injectors and just swap them out to save on shipping and then I would atleast have the injectors I needed, so it wouldn't be a total loss and all I would need that I was planning on using is the 350 prom and I guess I will just get that from eBay also from that TBIchip guy or what ever his ebay name is
the only thing I am finding with that number on it would be the regulator (which is from a 350 or 305 from what I can tell) does anyone know anything about this so i can let him know?
the tbi and the maifolds are the same from the truck tbi 350 to the car tbi 305 only things that would be different are: the injectors and the prom .the tbi unit is the same on the 4.3V6, 305 ,and 350 ........you swap the injectors to what you need.a truck 350 will RUN FINE ON A 305 PROM WITH 350 INJECTORS !!!!!!!!! DID IT IN FRIENDS CAR 2 YEARS AGO AND IT STILL RUNS FINE. IT COULD PICK UP A FEW TENTHS HERE AND THERE BUT IT RUNS GOOD NO FUNNY IDLE OR SAG OR PINGING.
WITHOUT CHECKING THE INJECTOR NUMBERS YOU CANT ACCUSE THE GUY OF ANYTHING.IT MOST LIKELY WAS A TRUCK 350 AND RAN ON THE 305 PROM.
as I said above, the injectors are 305 injectors so i CAN ACCUSE THE GUY OF SOMETHING if that was what i was doing, the only thing I was really accusing him of was being WRONG. The numbers on the injectors themselves are for a 305 not a 350. You may want to read the post before you jump to conclusions. here is the numbers on the injectors just so you wont have to scroll up

The guy has been emailing me about another set he has and says it came off a truck as well with a 350 but all he is givine me is the numbers off of the regulator and says the injectors have "NO" Numbers on them, I have never seen any injectors without numbers. He said that these had no numbers and I showed him a picture in another listing of where the numbers should be and his reply was "these aren't cop car injectors so these are different and have no numbers" I am trying to work with him to get the correct numbers from the injectors but the regulator is the same as the one on my 305 TBI and don't want him to ship them if they will not work for what I need
you need to settle down chief !!!!!! i have a couple of these tbi units from truck 350's and i dont need them so if you need the injectors or the whole thing let me know.i just want the shipping paid for them.
I went ahead and ordered the injectors last night. I bought 55lb injectors and said heck with it. I appreciate the offer though. I wasn't getting excited it was just you were saying I was saying something that wasn't true when I gave the full details of the situation you just didn't read. The guy tried to help to make what I had work its just he keeps getting 305 injectors thinking they are 350 injectors and thats not what I needed nor wanted. I was just going to replace the regulator and use the 305 injectors like in the budget tbi build and say heck with it but just decided to do it this way
