vacuum line on 89 camaro tbi question?

Okay so there is a vacuum problem on my moms 89, im trying to figure it out.

Where the canister(front of car driver side), theres a line that goes right to the left of it, idk what that part is called, but when i press it in the RPM goes up(just like im pulling the throttle, it also moves when i press the black rubbery part)

My question is, from the canister there is a vacuum line that goes to a conecter for 2 more lines, one line goint to what i believe is the press control valve. But where does the other line go???

I'm sorry if i don't make sence, if needed i'll take a pic when i get back home. Thanks.

The diagram is missing the cruise control vac motor, and the reservoir. The vac res is a ball down under the canister, seen easily from underneath. The C/C motor is a small can/valve looking thing in the left front by the core support, probably what you're playing with that's varying rpm, since it in fact acts on the throttle.

Re: vacuum line on 89 camaro tbi question?

Yeah that's your cruise control vac motor/actuator/whatever, the one that's not hooked to anything is probably supposed to be hooked to the vacuum reservoir, goes down thru the fender, there should be a large black plastic ball under the panel the evap canister is sitting on, you can see it from beneath the car, that is the reservoir and it should have a vacuum line hooked to it. The line is commonly pulled off and then forgotten since the reservoir is out of sight and the line usually ends up just dangling in the fender.
