Code 43
So this is different. I am driving and datalogging with winaldl. I noticed code 43 was thrown, electronic spark control. But I got no dash warning light. No rough running, no real noticable signs of something wrong. Just a flag on the computer. I recently did a swap, 305-350. Also new esc module for the 350. I just checked that the wires going to the starter and knock sensor were far away from spark plug wires.
Any thoughts on whats going on?
I have been doing some reading and I have seen so far are ppl having this code in conjunction with poor performance and unreliable engine.
Thanks

Re: Code 43
When my GTA/350 was running rough, it threw, MAF, EGR, TPS, and ESC at me. I replaced all 4 and the car runs good now. In hind site I probably could have tried to just do EGR and TPS to see if the others were real or just side effects ???
Damn thing is tho, ESCs are like $80.
I'd clear it and see if it returns.

Re: Code 43
the knock sensor is new and the ESC is new with the engine swap. this flag wasnt coming up a wk ago, it was all of a sudden today i flipped through the tabs in winaldl and it was checked off. the car runs great, like nothing is wrong. i can feel a slight difference b/w this wk and last wk vibration wise, its just slight though. i am assuming the ignition module went, thats the last piece of the system. i plugged in my old knock and grounded it and my old ESC ( they came off of my old running 305 that came out) and started the car and the flag was still checked.

Re: Code 43
Idk but a 305 uses a different knock sensor than a 350 does. Why did u ground the knock sensor? You can't bypass it by grounding it
