What's the difference between '87-'93 aluminum heads vs. cast iron ones?
Looking around at different intakes, and see different ones for the aluminum and cast iron heads. Just wanted to know what the diffs are and why need a different intake for each.
Thanks, SC.

Car: yy wife, crazy.
Engine: 350, Vortecs, 650DP
Transmission: TH-350
Axle/Gears: 8.5", 3.42
The cast iron heads had a change in the angle at which the 4 center bolts lined up.
The aluminums stayed the same as the older heads.

Chevy changed the aluminum head design in 92 to the LT1 style with reverse flow cooling for the Corvette. This didn't get put in the Camaro till 93 though. These heads won't be bolt on swap so stick with the aluminum L98 heads.
