spark plug wires

i might need to get new spark plug wires on my t/a, when i changed the rotar and cap, i noticed some corrosion on the connectors in the wire. does getting a larger gauge wire help? or should i get the same size thats on the car already?

Getting a different gauge wire will have no effect on how much corrosion builds up over time inside the connectors. Just replace the corroded wires with new ones, make sure they snap into place securely, and keep them dry inside.

usually the "gauge" of spark plug wires only has to do with how much silicone is around the little tiny core. That wont help your problem though. Make sureyou use di-electric grease on the terminals.

Anything more than 8mm is overkill in a typical street car.

Around 8 or 8.5 mm will give you optimum spark and give nice insulation for the wires. I am using Jacob's Electronics 8.5mm wires on my car. The ones on before were 7mm

I'd go for 8.5 or 8.8 mm if you can, just a little extra protection, specially for header applications.
