All I gotta say on that one dude is as hard as it is to even get the correct fuel tank put back in a third gen car, I sure as heck wouldn't want to be the guinea pig that tries that one first!

That's exactly why I'm wondering. Depending on what I do next year the tanks getting dropped anyway (new fuel pump that will support future induction system) so if it fits I might as ditch the metal tank for the 4thgen plastic tank. Just don't know if they're interchangeable.

The only ones that came with plastic tanks are the 01 cars I believe. If you want a better fuel system....just replace your intake pump. I'm using a Walbro 255ltr intake pump and it's supposed to be good to 550hp. Besides the LS1 has an odd fuel system(no return line) and I doubt if you could adapt it to what you have know. Another solution would be to install a fuel cell.

I was under the impression all 4thgens had a plastic tank... Don't care about fuel pump concerns, just want to know if it carries the same dimensions or not. Fuel cell would require a lot of fabrication, so that's a no go and I don't want one to begin with. (sorry if any of that sounds rude)
