timing marker missing / failed visual emissions
welp, failed emissions. all the numbers were ok, but visual failed due to "missing timing marker".
im not sure where to start on this one, ive never set the timing before even. prob cause i couldnt, lol...
is this a piece i could get from the boneyard? tho v8 is usually tough to find there...
could i put it on myself?
help?

Perhaps Herr Inspektor didn't know where to look for it.
You have to look straight down between the water pump legs. If he was looking for it at 2 o'clock where Chevy used to put it, he won't see anything.

You'll have to get a stock timing cover with the thing welded on, no real way around it.
I used to get alot of stuff like that at Ecology Auto Parts in Oceanside, right across the highway from the Oceanside Airport.
