When starting my car, it takes a little while. It goes chaaaaaaruuuuuuuuuuuuuuung charung charung charung varoooooom! (I like sound effects) It sounds like it won't turn it over the first attempt, but usually does, but don't want it to not be able to turn the motor over. My first guess was a bad battery, so I took it to autozone and had them test to see if it was bad, they said it was good but just low, so I put it on a trickle charger and let it fully charge. It's still doing it. I noticed tonight while driving home, that when my blinker is on, my voltmeter needle in the dash bobs in sync with the blinker. I don't think it's supposed to do that...? The engine is less than 500 miles, and has .600" lift springs. Could the starter just be straining with turning the engine because of how tight it still is and the tough springs? I just don't know what to throw the money at this time. Thanks.

Are you running a stock starter? Your other post mentions something about headers, maybe your starter is going into heat soak mode. That is when the heat generated by the headers being in such close proximity to the starter causes mechanical resistance to build up causing slow, weak, and eventually no starting. I have been using a CSI mini starter for 5 years with no troubles, ever. Small, lightweight, and easy to install/remove with headers on.

Also the blinker and guage needle dancing together sounds like a bad ground, or most likely a weak alternator. My car did that alot, especially at night with AC on and wipers on when raining. I put in a 140 amp alt and have had great luck with all the electronics working at the same time...

yes, stock starter. Heat soak would not be the issue, because it happens whenever I first start it that day (usually mid-day).

Put your wallet away (unless you want to throw money at ME). Spend some TIME on it instead.
