What sould I do ?
I just recently purchased an 86 Z28 with a carbed 350 with the origanl 700r4 tranny. I'm going to build a 350-400hp 350 to put in it. What should I do for a tranny, a th350, 700r4 or t5. I don't have a very big budget what sould I do?

I guess that depends. If you want overdrive you could try the 700 R4 thats in it, but I dont know how long it would last without being rebuilt with good parts. A th350 would be cheap and take some decent power. The t5 is fun, and MIGHT last if you were good to it, but they are known for being weak so I wouldnt expect it to last to long.

700r4
i love my 700r4 cuz i still have overdrive and w/ the vigilante 3200 stall it shifts nice and firm. if you are already having problems w/ your current 700r4 go ahead and plan to have it performance rebuilt and you need to get a better stall anyway. good luck.

Either build up a 700r4 with good parts, or get a T-56.
Just depends on whether you like OD or not, and whether you like a stick or not.
If you're going to drag race I would recommend the 700R4, but if you're going to road race or you just generally want to have lots of fun with your car on the streets, then get the T-56.
My 2 cents.
