HELP! wtf is wrong with it

hey guys.....well my car's really messed up

about a year ago I took it to the shop to get a new starter put in......and I've been back about 4 different times because they keep putting bad starters in it......each time I get a new one my car clicks about 10 times before actually starting up...it's really annoying

so the other day I went to start it and I waited to hear the fuel pump like I always do, except this time it sounded really loud for some reason......so then I tried starting my car and it wouldn't turn over.......so I tried about 10 more times and finally it did.....it scared the crap outa me

so today I went to get gas and it did it again and I couldn't get it to start ...I was freakin out.....so I called a tow truck but right after I took one of the fuel injectors off and it ended up starting so I hurried and re-connected it and drove home. now it won't turn over again and I don't know what the hell is wrong with it....

any ideas?

I'm thinkin maybe the fuel pump died because of all the attempts I've had to make to start it due to the clicking.....

ugh :'(

Thanks guys

Have you checked the grounds? More specifically the large groundstrap that goes to the pass. side cylinder head. Its important that that ground strap has good contact at the battery and the head. Also, hows the battery?

It also could be as simple as crappy rebuilt starters. You should use a good gear reduction starter instead.

I agree, I have heard of all kinds of wierd things happening when the ground strap isn't right. Before you get busy with the fuel pump make sure everythings connected right and check fuses too. And even on top of that check and see if you're getting fuel pressure at the rails. I would check out the grounds first before all that. Good luck

If the solenoid clicks several times before it will turn over it is a "power" problem.
Check:
Grounds
Starter connections
Fuseable links
BATTERY

I agree with Morley's statement. If there is a fuel problem that is secondary to the car will not turn over. Get the car to turn over then go to fuel.

Thats funny... while trying to track down a fried wire problem i was checking my grounds and realized that the rear cylinder head to firewall ground wasn't connected and hasn't been connected since i got the car... which was three years ago. It starts fine but has weird electrical issues. Kinda hoping reconnecting it will help
