Nightrider350

I'm lookin at puttin posi in my '88 firebird in the fall but I remember hearin there was a spline issue i'd hafta worry about w/ it bein an '88. I built my 350 engine that's in it now but i don't know much about rear ends. It originally had the 2.8 v6, so currently it should have 3.42 gears in the back. Any advice on what kind of diff i need to get for posi? (just so you know i ain't gonna pull this task on my own the first time, i got someone to do the job w/ me, i just need the right gears first).

you need a carrier with 26 splines or a carrier with axles to match. there is no real conflict, the parts you have just have to match the parts you buy.
