The bolt pattern is 5 x 4.75 on 'almost' all rear wheel drive cars & the S-10. The Caprice has a 5 x 5" bolt pattern like the trucks.
The way to measure the bolt pattern size on any odd # of studs (5, 7, or 9 for ex.) is to measure from the middle of one to the opposite other, but using the outside edge of the opposite one.
The real way that they measure the distance is the true diameter of the circle which is formed by following the center of the studs. Kinda like a faucet on a sink.

Since there are no studs directly opposite of each other on odd # studs, then using that outside edge is the next best thing.
If you want you can draw a cirle on the wheel and measure it that way, but that's too much like work.
