Mini Starters....

Can you buy just the pinion gear for the GM Performance Parts High Torque Mini Starters? It comes right out of the assembly and it would be nice and easy to do this than spend another $215 on another mini starter. The solenoid works perfect and the starter is less than a year old. To bad GM Performance Parts doesn't warrantee their stuff.

I'm not sure if they make one, but if there is a shop in the area that rebuilds distributors and starters I would have them take a look at it. The shop in my town can just pop off the gear and has the replacement right there or in rare cases orders it from somewhere. But either way it is cheaper than buying a new starter
