Please need help fast!!!! No start

OK I turn the key and it does nothing like if it was in gear. 1991 Camaro Rs 305 automatic trans. Pulled in the garage to put new speakers in. Now won't turn over. I can hear the fuel pump work. When I turn the key nothing no sound. tried my spare key same thing. Don't think my starter would go out that fast anyways I'd think I'd hear something. I'm thinking ignition relay of some sort under drivers side dash but theres alot of relays under there. Any help would be appreciated. I already unplugged battery for 10 min pos and neg. Still nothing like it was in drive and you turn the key.

Re: Please need help fast!!!! No start

Come on anybody? I just put a new ignition switch in. It was friggin hard. had to drop the steering column. No help. Next I'm thinking neutral safety switch. Don't know where it is right off hand. But then starter and solenoid but I don't think its that, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Please need help fast!!!! No start

Well, I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to car tech, but I had something similar happen to me years ago in my 89. I went to a job interview no problems, came out and the car did nothing when I turned the key. Turns out it was a problem with the VATS. I don't remember exactly what it was though. You can read about it here: https://www.thirdgen.org/vats_passkey_system

Hope this helps.

Re: Please need help fast!!!! No start

okay here it is you were playing with speaker wires under the dash werent you? what did you touch... a situation like this is caused by something YOU did... not something that just happened to break while the car wasnt running and was sitting untouched.... it is mostlikely VATS related IE the 2 white wires near the steering column

Re: Please need help fast!!!! No start

Vats sux tired of everytime I work on this car something breaks. Its not enough to keep the engine and tranny tires brakes and other mechanical stuff working and well mantained but I'm sick of stupid electrical promblems. This sensor that relay sux. If it were the Vats I should have had this problem before. Others have wrote it happens off and on again. It will not start, been trying for two days. I feel like ripping the freaking dash out. I'll just hook up headlights with alligator clamps to the battery sitting on the floor board. It would be easier than traking down ignition switch, vats, vats module, neutral safety switch, maybe a relay, starter interupter or whatever. I'm tired. i want all this crap out and eventually will rip every freakin electrical circuit out that I can get away with and put in a carburator. Next the friggin air bag's going to blow up in my face. But no I wasn't in the dash I replaced the 6X9's in the rear seat then jacked it up to fix a nail in the tire. Now won't start so if that broke it I quess I better not have passengers in the car something might stop working. Vats is easy if its just the resistor part no promblem. But if its not what am I missing maybe the relay under the hood by master cylinder. Stupid starter whatever under kick panel. It doesn't make a sound though.

Re: Please need help fast!!!! No start

Ok question so if I bypass the starter enable relay and connect the two big wires and it still won't crank I'm looking for something outiside the interior like relay under hood or starter solinoid?
