Camshaft Retainer

So I was tightening up the Retainer bolts and one snapped on me! I didn’t think I did it too tight but they are small... Anyways I need a new bolt and I don’t know where to get it. I looked at Jegs and Summit for the bolts and they don’t have them. However Jegs does sell the retainer but it wont say if it comes with the bolts. So I went to GM Parts Direct and found out they have 2 types of these retainers. Here is the description of part #10088128 off GM Parts Direct
Quote:
"1st design 10088128 (3.62" bolt center) used on ZZZ-1-2
And 10168501 2nd design (3.294" bolt center) used on ZZ3 and ZZ4 350 engines"
I'm guessing and hoping its part #10088128 if I’m wrong please correct me. Now to my question has anyone ever bought this and does it come with the bolts? Or is there a place anyone knows of where I can buy the bolts?

Re: Camshaft Retainer

Why don't you go to a hardware store and find the replacement? Its not a special bolt, just match the grade, length, thread pitch and most importanly make sure the head of the bolt is atleast the same thickness or thinner than the original.
