Head Ports Size
Well im building my engine and i almost have enough money for some aluminum heads. But i dont know what size to go with? i know the valves are going to be 2.02"/1.60". With a 64cc Combustion Chambers. So should i put some 190cc intake or some 210cc intake on.
The engine is a 350 .o30 over 355 10.1 comp w/ 64cc heads.
Stock rods.
Stock crank.
Cam is a 480/480 lift.Hydraulic Lifters
Heads are going to have 1.6 roller rockers.
Dont know about intake yet.
th350 with a 3300 stall. auto
Tell me what you think of the set up?
Thanks

Re: Head Ports Size
Looks like the cam is the same (the old 280 Magnum it looks like); you just have 1.6 rockers.
Try to get chambers smaller than 64cc, if you don't have pinging problems now. With aluminum heads you need close to a full point higher CR to get the same cyl pressure (power output) as iron heads.

So your saying if i want 10.1 CR i would have to go with a 62cc or a 60cc to get 10.1 CR. Im just dont know what size heads i should go with to gewt some good hp.

Re: Head Ports Size
Nice set up.. But I would go with 4valve after market aluminum heads if you can get the money. It would make a sweet *** engine.

Re: Head Ports Size
I think a 195cc intake runner is perfect for a street/strip 350. My preferance would be Trickflow or AFR.
Bad idea. It's seriously NOT worth the hassle, not to mention the MASSIVE price of a set of such heads.
