Ok what valvecovers will fit with Scorpion rockers?
After an entire summer of going back and forth with AFR about a broken rocker stud on my brand new heads they finally upgraded me to the larger studs and sold me a set of full roller Scorpion rockers to go with them. Well I've always run my stock centerbolt valvecovers up until now but there is not way they are going to clear these new rockers.
Does anyone here have a definite centerbolt style valvecover that will work with Scorpion rockers (these things are ungodly wide) or do I have to start looking into perimeter style covers? My heads are drilled for both styles but I'd rather stay centerbolt for their better leak prevention qualities.

You could sell the rockers and get the right narrow body Scorpion rockers for centerbolt heads.

3/8" stud only
The perimeter valve covers are not that bad at all when used on heads with a raised rocker cover rail and the good rubber gaskets.
If you're having trouble with the rocker stud boss I would look at valve train stability at high rpm.
lower rpm limit, better springs, lighter retainers or a rev kit. Or a cam lobe design that is more stable at high rpm. There is no free lunch. the more agressive the cam lobe shape, the more likely it will be unstable at high rpm. You gain a little torque with a radical cam lobe shape but usually give up ultimate rpm capability Especially with a high(er) rocker arm ratio. High rpm valve bounce/spring surge is very very hard on the rocker arm stud and boss.
Which stud boss broke? intake/exhaust. What is the rocker arm ratio? how high are you reving the motor? What valve springs?

Yeah my studs are 7/16 so I guess the narrow body rockers aren't an option.
I read some guys have clearance issues with the perimeter bolt valve covers in the alternator and A/C box areas. Aren't the external dimensions the same basically?
