Car Won't Start
My car has been sitting around for about three years now and I finally got it put back together enough so that I could try to start it. I heard the fuel pump kick on when I put the key to the "RUN" position and the engine cranked with no problems. I didn't check to see if I'm getting spark yet because I had a more immediate problem: major amounts of fuel leaking from where my injectors enter the intake manifold. After a quick investigation, I figured out that because I neglected to install the injector clips on my new injectors, they were pushed too far into the rail and not far enough into the intake manifold. I could literally see the bottom o-ring on a couple of the injectors.
My question is this: I tried to start the engine on two separate occasions for maybe ten seconds each time. Should I be concerned for my catalytic converter because of the unburned fuel that was sprayed into my cylinders?
My second question is: should I use an oil pump primer tool before I start it? Will the oil have drained from the lifters after this much time?
