What should I do from now on??
Ok so I have a 1987 Chevy Camaro IROC-Z that came from the factory with a 305. The previous owner put in a 350 however as some members on here have told me it is a truck engine p/n 12520268. So I go on Summit and look up parts using my car selection however I put in that I have a 350.. I guess this was a mistake because so far the guy installing the stuff said that a lot of fabrication had to be done. He claims that the hi flo Edlebrock Runners part number 3865 had to have the holes dremeled out so that they wouldl ine up properly.. then he said that they had to shave down some parts like the fuel rail and some other items so that there would be no tension... he also claims that coolant lines were not fitting back in... just curious if this is normal things tht need to be done when installing these or if it really that these items are not made for my engine.. however they are making them fit.. im assuming the guy knows what he is doing in there and is being smart when he is "customizing in making them fit" I am nervous that I am going to start driving this thing and bam something goes wrong.. not sure if they will take responsibility as the items did not "properly fit" also does anyone have any idea what I should be searching when I look for parts for this 350? obviously the info I punch in is not right because all the items I bought should have been direct bolt on.

Sounds to me like the 350 that's in your car isn't a "roller motor." If you need buy TPI parts for a non roller, you must specify '85 or '86 305 (non-roller) parts.
Things changed a little WRT intake/heads when they started using roller lifters.

I wish I knew more about this motor.. Tyhe only thing I know is that it was installed on 9-13-1999 and only has like 25,000 miles on it... But I mean the intake manifold baseplate seemed to work fine, the headers went on perfectly, but he claims he had to install then take out the runneers because things were in the way and it didnt fit perfectly... idk.. ill have to see what he can tel lme on the engine i guess..

Are your valve cover bolts in the center of the covers, or are they in the perimeter (flanges)?

It's an '87-'95 truck engine. Use that instead of Camaro for long-block parts. About the only things that affect are cam, lifters, timing set. Gaskets & seals would be the same as an '87 L98.
The intake base should mount exactly the same. I've heard of aftermarket runners needing to be ground down for clearance, so that doesn't surprise me.
The coolant line problems are probably due to the base & runners, not the engine itself.

Look at the casting number, don't remeber where to find the info, but someone can either tell you or, point you in the direction to tell you the year make and model of what it came out of.

The engine was put in brand new by a Chevrolet Dealership.. It wasnt taken out of one car and put into mine.. It was an engine off the shelf ant the chevy dealer..

It's probably a one-piece rear main seal and roller lifter block, but the p/n indicates it was a truck LO5 replacement engine, which would have flat tappet lifters.
It may have roller lifters, but doubtful.
