no start problem
Hey guys, I just picked up a 90 IROC convert and am having a starting problem. Coil, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, ignition module, distributor pick up coil, all have been replaced. Also replaced fuel filter and current fuel pressure is 40-50 psi at key up. Vehicle runs ok at cold start, as soon as it warms up it loses power and throttle response but still idles, shut down car, restart and no fire. Timing is set to 6 btdc. 5.0l tpi with a 5 speed thanks guys!!

Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.
What's the fuel pressure when it starts acting up?

Go for the basics: Do you have spark, are the injectors firing, will it start if you spray staring fluid or gasoline into the intake while cranking, have you checked the computer for error codes, etc.
When did the problem begin, before or after you replaced all those parts?

Re: no start problem
the problem occured before the parts were replaced. I replaced these parts attempting to solve the issue. Also replaced the coil. Vehicle will attempt to stutter when carb cleaner is sprayed in the throttle body, no trouble codes in the computer. All injectors are firing.
