valve? in vacuum line to cc
What is the purpose of the small line that comes out of this valve, and where does it go, after it goes through the firewall? It's in the vacuum line to the cruise control.
Also, what is the large aluminum object, cylinder shaped, maybe 5" long x 1.5" in diameter, under the wiper motor?

I believe it's a check valve for your HVAC system. It keeps it from switching to defrost when the vacuum goes low.

Re: valve? in vacuum line to cc
Thanks for the answer!
That seems logical... one check valve probably used for both CC and HVAC, since there is a vacuum resevoir on the same side of the valve as the hoses that go to CC and under my dash.
Now, about my second question...

Oh... I thought that what was above it was the wiper motor. Shows how much I know.
Thanks!
Also, what is the larger vacuum line (approx. .5" OD) that goes from the CC, through the firewall, on the drivers side, for?
Does it go to the brake pedal?
Thanks!
