sputter when accelerating

Hey my cars been giving me some trouble and the only code i get is 24 for the vss, when im driving and try to accelerate soemtimes the car will lose power and sputter until i let back slightly on the pedal and then it seems to regain its bearings, any idea? i have a 4bb carb with a 350 all stock

your running rich or not getting fuel, this has happened to me and my friend, if your getting a code its a 99% chance its a bad O2 sensor, its not sending your computer a signal or a bad one which is sending too much fuel when you accelerate, which then floods your engine and it falls on its face, you back off and it gets going normal again, so thats theory 1, theory number 2 but i doubt it is but it could be your fuel pump, bang on your gas tank with a wrench or something, if it still happens and you get a code go to your advance autos or auto zone or something and theyll diagnose your car for free, and theyll tell you what the code means, but im 99% positive your O2 sensor is bad and needs replaced

okay, well its still under warranty so ill just go swap out the o2 sensor and i changed the fuel pump like 6 months ago its not electric its the manual kind. thanks for the help ill post back my results with the o2 sensor
