Motor mounts...
Ok its that time to do motor mounts in my car, its worring me with the way they look and when i rev the engine it likes to move a lot so its that time, plus i wanna do long tubes and i jus read it was easier to jus do this first. My questions are that, how easy are they to change out? how much work is it and is it a real head ache? my brother did his on his 2000 ss and it costed him a broken fingure and a 40 dollar light bar that he smashed cause he got agrivated and hes ase ceritifed. thanks for any help guys

Re: Motor mounts...
Well its not the easiest because the the bolts go into the k member and you have to get a wrench inside it on the nut, whats harder is getting the nut back on the bolt when you get the new mounts in place. Just make sure you have alot of time to work on it.

and while you're at it, you might consider going to solid motor mounts. sorta like surround sound with all the shaking and vibration. after that, you don't need no stereo and certainly no subwoofer boom box.
took me a while to get used to it, and almost went to Energy Suspension Poly-U mounts (actually bought them), but the steel mount experience is too primal to forego.

Re: Motor mounts...
The experience of solid mounts really depends on if your engine is stock bottom end, or if you've had it balanced. And if you do go solid, still don't try a solid trans mount, go poly for that one.
