Head bolt Torque Value

Hey guys,

Since I am replaceing my valve cover gaskets and have the valve covers off, I figure I might as well torque my head bolts. Does anyone know what they should be torqued to? It's on a chevy 350 with World Sportsman II heads. Thanks!

Thanks for the link, but I don't see that many bolts to tighten...do I need to take off the intake manifold as well?

9 are under the valve cover and 8 are below the exhaust ports. Unless you just put the heads on recently, I wouldn't mess with it.

Re: Head bolt Torque Value

Hey, i am replacing my bolts and found the sequence here, but There are 3 lengths of bolts, i know the longest should go up top and the shortest goes on bottom, but there are 2 mid length bolts. Where do those go?

Re: Head bolt Torque Value

the mid length bolts would go into numbers 17 and 14 in the diagrams posted in this thread.
