Hello,
I think this is the coolant temperature sending unit (ugly green arrow).
So on the opposite corner, what is this or is supposed to be there. I didn't have any SES-codes before removal of the engine.

One in the front is the CTS for the gauge. One in the rear is the fan thermo switch
