My engine build

ok, 98% set on my build now...

pocket ported 882s with summit brand .550 lift springs, heads milled maybe 1-2cc off

2 bolt main 350 bored .060 over with forged trw pistons with .100 domes and polished crank, maybe some grade 8 main bolts

PAW deluxe budget rebuild kit with felpro, high volume pump and double roller chain, and a set of clevite cam bearings

600cfm holley carb with a dual plane intake

just gatta decide on a cam, im ganna get a summit cam/ lifter combo, but cant deciede between
.465/.488 224/234
.488/.488 234/234
.488/.510 234/244

Re: My engine build

called comp and they recommended 224/224 .470/.470 or a 230/230 .480/.480 so would this make the .488/.488 234/234 too big for my build?
he said a 236/236 .490/.490 was too big unless i used a 3000 stall

Re: My engine build

ok, did some more research and i think the prob with having a big cam is dynamic compression... so if i get the compression up to 10.2:1 and advance the timing 4 degrees, ill have a dynamic compression of 8.0
