Which distributor?
I replaced my dist. cap and rotor the other day and noticed a fair amount of rust under the cap. I cleaned it up with a wire brush as much as possible but I figure it should probably be replaced. I'll probably just pick one up from the junk yard but how do I know which one I need. Will a dizzy from an 87+ tbi car work on my 88 305 tpi? I didn't really see any part numbers or anything. Thanks.

Re: Which distributor?
Be aware that truck TBI distributors have a built-in, non-adjustable rev limiter set at 5250 rpm.

Re: Which distributor?
So what about a dist. from a tbi firebird? Last time I was at the local JY they had an 89 formula so I was thinking about robbing the dist. from that car if it is the same as the one used on tpi engines.
