Re: crazy clicking noise when trying to start

The first thing i'd tell ya to try is charging the battery and checking the battery cable connections. The clicking noise is likely caused by low battery charge. If your igniton lock cylinder is not disenagaging the ignition switch, there is still power goin to alot of things that would normally shut off when you remove your keys. If this is the case the fix would be to replace your lock cylinder.

As to the running slow and sluggish. Timing is a good thing to check but there are too many possibilities here without narrowing the field down a little. Start simple, try a fuel cleaner, do a simple tune up ( cap, rotor, plugs, wires, and filters )

Re: crazy clicking noise when trying to start

The hot/cold start issue is your starter. When you have issues with it wanting to drag or turn over slow when the starter is hot is a sign of starter wear. If the battery checked ok after being charged, replace your starter and you should be good to go.

Engine: both have a 305.. For now
Re: crazy clicking noise when trying to start

I had the same issue on another trans am I had. The engine ground strap was almost broke in half. I changed that and never had another problem.
