Starting problems the 2nd time
Alright I have a 87 GTA with the 5.7L TPI so here the thing.
At the beginning of the day early in the morning I get in turn the key the car fires right up like brand NEW! Go for a drive then get where I need to be. Park the car for a few hours then I try to go home start it again but then it takes like 5 seconds to start instead of 1 second so it's just crank crank crank crank then start. Why is it so delayed? But then if I shut the car off for about 5 to 10 mins and start it again it fires up perfectly! What gives? I park the car for 30 min + it doesn't start perfect anymore but if i just shut it off for 5-10 min perfect start!
Anyone have any ideas to solve the problem?

Re: Starting problems the 2nd time
Hi
just had that problem with my 88 gta. Check to see if fuel injectors are leaking down. place a fuel pressure gauge on rail and turn ign on car dont start. turn key off watch fuel pressure see if it drops. It will drop of like 30 min or so. Also then try taking the duct off throttle body open the blades see if it sounds like a waterfall inside the plentum after key turned off. Also when you start it and it doesent crank right over is there alot of smoke?
