some funky stuff after extended highway rides
Been having the problem for a while. After say about a half hour to an hour of highway driving my 87 camaro 350 tpi will tend to stall when it comes to a stop or rolling stop. I can feel this about to happen and try to keep the motor running with some tricky clutch brake and accelerator footwork. When it stops at a light just say, it will stall and then I'm stuck. The thing turns over slowly, cranks weakly a while, like it doesn't want to start, then after turning the key a while it will start. I think it has something to do with the 9th injector or fuel pump/filter. Some things I might try are to get a new fuel pump, filter, why not $30, the fuel pump relay, and maybe some injector cleaner to run through the fuel injectors. I do not know much about engines and I'm just taking a stab at diagnosing the problem. If you know the problem or can stear me in the right direction, it is much appreciated.

Re: some funky stuff after extended highway rides
same thing was happening to me, i had the the fuel pump, fuel regulator, and fuel sending unit ( due to rust) replaced. while i was at it i also switched to hypertech cap rotor and coil. no similar problems since, except one time my positive battery cable was a tad loose.
