Car: 64 elcamino
Engine: 305 TPI
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 3.73
car is stalling in drive
this on my 1990 chevy lumina.I have not had any luck on any outher sites..when my car is warmed up after 30 min,,when i am at a light it stalls ,,restart an put in drive and it wants to learch forward WITHOUT MY FOOT ON THE GAS an then stalls.... what i have done and checked on the car is... PCM-ECM-(CHANGED)COOLENT TEMP SWITCH,NEW FUEL FILTER- CHECKED INJECTORS-DID A FUEL PRES REG TEST-VACUM TEST.it has a ECM CONTROLED EGR,,,,THE car IDELS FINE IN PARK but put in in drive an it learches forward an dies..... the car is showing no codes at all..... any one got any ideas....

it might have a failing tcc (torque converter control) solenoid. unplug the connector in the transmission. should be a four wire plug. and drive it. if it doesn't act up it's the tcc solenoid actin up. it's the part that allows fluid to the converter to "lock" it up for increased fuel mileage and to lower transmission fluid temps.
