car will fire up and run nice, but then dies. An won't run for long

My 91 RS has been setting for awhile, I've pulled out the 305, rebuilt a 350 to 355. The 355 is in it now all wires vacuem lines are in place. I've switched the distributor, changed the top of the throttle body with one from a 350. I've syphoned out all old gas in the tank, changed the fuel filter, changed the coil. New spark plugs wires, cap, button etc. New knock sensor.

My problem is that at cold temp, the car with fire and run for about 20 min. When it warmed up we were setting the distributor timing, went to turn the distributor a smidge bit, and the car died out and wouldn't run for very long time. Checked for any bare wires from the back side of the motor found one set that looks like that have been fixed before, so gonna get on them, but not sure if that would be the major problem. I am considering it might be a computer problem or another electrical problem. If it is a computer problem should I try and find a computer from a 350 or would a computer from another camaro that had a 305 be ok?? Or any other suggestions would be great, Thanks

So how long does it run now? Does it still run for 20min then die? Do you have any check engine lights (SES light)? Even if not, run the codes to see what's there.

yeah, got a ses light, it wasn't on before when it was running. Thinking it might have something to do with the oxygen sensor. So what you are suggestion is to hook up a computer to read off any malfunctions, ok. Got a bit more to put into the pile, most of the dash gauges didn't work before swaping out the motors. That's why I mentioned the possability of a computer problem, but I'm not certain.

Last time trying to make it run it would roll over start for a minute then die out. Right before it dies, sounds like it is running out of gas, tryed to feather the throttle body to keep it running but it just doesn't want to cooperate.

Since the car has been sitting, the very first thing I would do would check your fuel pressure. If you understand the term "feathering the throttle", I am guessing that if you think it is running out of gas then it probably is. I have a 92 Fbird that sat for a year (in my heated garage) with the front on jack stands and a full tank of gas while the engine was out. Fuel pump still went bad.

didn't think of that, but the pillars in the throttle body don't have any hesitation, shows perfect cone shapes filling the bowls in the top part. It wasn't like that before, I changed out the top part from a 350 throttle body, because the wire plugs didn't match up with the wiring harness to my car. I will check the fuel pressure, see what comes out of it?

my car starts to act up more when it is warmed up and is kicking back into secondary, that's when it sounds and acts like it is running out of gas.
