Any ideas on springs, locks and retainers for a stock headed L98?
I just ported my heads and they're at the machine shop. The labor rate was very good but I have to buy my own locks retainers and springs. I am using the original 1989 L98 cam and lifters and new pushrods. I want to go with lightweight beehive type springs. I was looking at the Summit catalog and saw the Scorpion brand springs. I have no idea what rate I need. I did search and didn't find anything that would help. Thanks!

I guess I'll just wait for the machinist to tell me what to buy. I wanted a better spring than stock but since I and staying with a stock cam I don't need anything crazy. I figured with the lighter spring it would rev a bit quicker. My next L98 is already on the engine stand, that one will get a complete matched kit with a cam upgrade from Comp when I do a total rbuild on the lower end. I'll post some pics of my port job on my heads later.
