FYI car wont start, solved

OK, I thought I would share this with everyone since alot of these cars still have the VATS. I had trouble a couple of years back after my original ignition switch failed and the cheap aftermarket ones failed twice in one year. I modded my switch by wiring in a resistor from a spare key to a hidden toggle switch and the problem was good till now. It started by not wanting to start once in a while unless I waited 10min after trying for the first time(Vats timer if wrong signal recieved). I checked my solder joints on the toggle switch and the resistor and everything was good. The third time this happened I tore back into the switch, clutch pedal switch, and again didnt find anything. I then began checking connections to the vats itself and discovereed that depending on which way I moved the very small gauge wire I would loose my signal. Long story short the cheap gauge wire had broken inside the casing and I ended up cutting out the bad section and soldering it back together. I think I finally had my fill with the VATS and am going to totally eliminate it from the chip. I just wanted to post this because it was a little out of the ordinary.
