HELP! Camaro needs to start very soon!

Hello, My Son AJ lost his best friend Terry who owned a 1991 Camaro that we need to get running right by March 4th in time for Terry's memorial at Bremerton MotorSports Park!
It starts off and on, replaced the distributor module, plugs, & plug wires but it's not starting again. Terry's camaro will lead a pack of his friends cars for a couple laps at the track. We need to have it running by then but we're all stumped???
It has to be something simple cuz it does start here and there. Any advice from the experts who have experience with this sort of issue? HELP us please!
Thank You

In Memory of
Terry Lee Phillips

Is the security light on? Sounds like a VATS issue.

Re: HELP! Camaro needs to start very soon!

I'm a little familiar with this GM VAT system. There is no SECURITY light on, but the bulb could be bad. There is a chip on the ignition key. Still stumped!
Thanks for the suggestion friend!

Automatic or manual? When it doesn't start, is it cranking at all? Injected or Carb?

It has an automatic and it does turn over, but no spark and no fuel. The kids hot wired the injectors on the carb but they did NOT spray any gas.

so, when it runs does it run well or, rough? You may have debris in the tank that is plugging the pump screen.

If that is the case it should run if there is half tank or so in it.

Thank you for eveyone who offered advice and wisdom on this. It turns out that the distributor was going bad. Something to do with a coil pick up, or that thing under the rotor in the dist.
