Car: 1989 formula
Engine: stock lo3 305
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: dont know
engine and transmission questions
I have a carbed lu5 305 hopefully i will be adding vortec heads soon and a manual trans.
so hears my questions
ive seen on here that you can actually use the yellow ls1 spring to get more lift from the heads, is this true.
and if so what would be a good cam for my application mostly street, not a daily driver.
also what manual transmission should i go with the t5 t56 t10 etc..
im new to some of this and anything will help

My personal choice would be the T-56, as for the engine, not sure about that, but comp cams has a free program called camquest that you can download. It's what I used and will give you some good information so you can make the best choice for your application. Just go to their website to download it. http://www.compcams.com/
