I'm thinking about removing my power steering, have any of you removed yours? What should i expect as to handling?

As long as you don't use wide front tires, you probably won't notice any difference. Don't use a small steering wheel and expect to turn the wheel a little more in parking lots.

Mine gets 'removed' sometimes if I drive thru a large enough puddle, and the belt gets wet. Makes the car nearly un-steerable, scary if halfway thru a turn. I do have 8" rubber up front tho.

There's a big difference between no power assist and manual steering. You can't compare the two of them. A manual steering box is designed to work with only mechanical leverage. A power steering box needs the hydraulic pressure.

I do know that you have to reroute the hoses otherwise your manually working the pump. I have a 92 Integra that doesn't have power steering and its pretty easy to turn, but yea when you just take the belt off its going to be very hard to turn. Also not rerouting the hoses will destroy your pump, but then again removing your power steering is different in every car.

I was more so wondering if anyone on here has done it completely, not just taking the belt off.

Many of us here have swapped our power-steering boxes for manual boxes.
The manual boxes from a Chevy Monza, Vega, or S10 pickup will work in an F-body.
You can also pay more and get a new manual box from a few sources online.
