You never can tell by pictures and Never trust a seller.
You really have to go inspect things, then still you dont know for sure until a machine shop looks it over for cracks, measure the bores, etc.
Good price on the 400 block. 350 short block is high. The heads are worth nothing but scrap price.
What are you wanting and what do you plan on doing with it? Budget?

budget? RAAAAhahahahaha. i have no money!
j/k. im looking for a motor to stick in my shed and slowly build over time, which is why i thought the one with the engine stand might have been good. i like the idea of the 400 though. i just want a mild streetable build. i suppose i would go carbed at first and later do something with fuel injection.
will this 400 sbc bolt in to the car? like motor mounts and trans?
