Hi,
have the 88 305 tbi camaro. Fan has started to kick in very late around 105-108 deg celcius. I cools the engine a couple of degrees and then stops. I have to start the heater to avoid boiling me some tea water.
How is the fan start and stop controlled ?

Regards
Janus

Re: Fan

the fan control switch.. located under the passengers manifold... best way to get to it would be from under the car... i have to also replace mine but in the mean time i just turn on the AC and that turns on the Fan always

Re: Fan

don't confuse it with the knocking sensor... the switch is right next to the spark plug..

That is the right temperature when the sensor turns the fan on. There is really nothing wrong.
You can get fan switch/sensors that allow the fan to come on earlier through Summit Racing.

Re: Fan

Hi,
That doesnt make sense to me. When i bought it the fan would start and bring the temp down around 190 which I believe would be the right operating temp.
