alingment

I was trying to align my car at work but was having a hard time to get it straight or not to pull to one side well one of the techs said you need a special tool for the caster/camber and it makes it easier to do since its a pain to do im just over it i was thinking if anybody knew jf the gm dealership would be able to do it and will they have that special tool

Re: alingment

No special tool required to adjust the camber/caster. The dealership might have the "proper" tool, but if they can even find it, it's likely seized up. The upper strut plates can be adjusted by lifting the weight of the car off the wheels, loosening the 3 nuts at the top of the plate, and then persuading the strut plate to whatever position you want it to be in. The disadvantage of this method is that you have to guess and recheck every adjustment.

Re: alingment

If its still pulling after the alignment, try crossing the tires to see if it changes the pull to the other side or elimitinates it.

Its probably siezed the passenger side did not want to get caster it was about a whole degree off but it was just so hard raise it up on the alignment machine use the jacks on it and raise it took forever and didn't accomplish a good alignment
