'88 IROC 305 TPI - Code 34
So every once in a while, I'll start my car and the service engine light will stay on. And then I get happy. Throwing a code 34 which is weird because the car has a MAF sensor. There's a half-second stumble when you do a quick, smooth transition from nothing to WOT, but other than that, the car runs like a raped ape when that light is on. I went from 55 to 120 damn quick passing a couple cars tonight.
Any idea why this is happening and what I can do to get the car to run like that minus the stumble? It's freaking awesome.

I have the same setup, and same problem.
What I have found is the wires pulling out of the relay connector, have yet to actually fix it, but I push them back in there and it stays for a while and the light stays off...
I gotta quit being lazy and actually fix the problem

I had a code 34 on my 1988 Formula 350 TPI lest year, it was a bad MAF burnoff relay.

Re: '88 IROC 305 TPI - Code 34
Well I'm getting code 33 and 34, one or the other at once. It's either a go fast light, or a go slow light. 33 goes on and the car screams all the way to redline, 34 comes on and the tach drops to 0 and the car craps out at like 3000.
How do I force my go fast light?

I'm getting a drop at 3600 now. Pretty sure the relay is completely crapped out. Which one is it under the hood? I have to check the SES code being thrown right now, but the car runs awful while it's trying to use the dead relay, then the code gets thrown and it runs almost fine up to 3600.
Edit: Found it and swapped the relay out. Car's back to being a monster again.
Edit again: Thought I had it. Which relay is it?
