first g tech run

G-tech finally came in, and first run 14.70@94, I know mph seems high lol. I was hoping for a 14.50, car is 91 formula lb9 auto, long tube headers and full dual exhaust, home made cai, bosch injectors, 3:45 rear. I guessing the street tires had a lot to do with mph,but still seems a little off. Now to decide whats next lol.

Re: first g tech run

Long tubes on a 305 auto? Size?
I think Dyno dons shorties and a nice catback would have been a better choice. (but its your car, do what u want)
I'd look at the trans (rebuild) and nice lockup stall converter ;-)
bump the base timing if using a stock chip. (a tune would be a lot better but not until you do more)

Re: first g tech run

Free headers are sometimes the best headers!!!
Dyno dons are good to 450-500 hp IIRC. There are plenty of dyno comparisons on this site between them and long tubes. (cali boards)
I have a 91 305 auto TA that went 13.50s at the track with a SLP cold air, SLP runners, SLP shortys/Y pipe, underdrive pulleys and a cheesy catback. Stock size street tires
