Engine: 305 tpi
Transmission: auto
Axle/Gears: 373 posi
1985 305 tpi cam and lifter selection????
i have a 85 iroc and i wan to replace cam lifters and timing chain any info .the car runns fine but i was told the ticking is from worn cam lobes any suggestions

It's still a flat tappet cam in 85- no roller cams yet at that point. Also, in 85 TPI motors ONLY that cam happened to be the "good guy" flat tappet cam they also used in the L69 305 HO carbureted motor (NOT the "peanut cam").
Your choices are endless. Are you looking to replace with like kind? Upgrade?
On the cheap ($90 including lifters), a Summit house brand K-1102 cam kit will work and has similar specs to stock as far as duration goes, but on a 112* LSA as opposed to the 115* LSA of the factory cam. I've used it several times in carbureted and EFI motors of that era and it makes a little more power, while also retaining factory drivability and computer compatibility. You can even use it with factory valve springs- no mods needed. That's your cheapest option if you just need a cam to get you up and running and don't want to spend a lot (valve spring upgrades, clearancing the heads for higher lift, etc.)
Beyond that, you have MANY options depending how deep your pockets are.

thanks im not to familar with cams and liters just want one to refresh a bit dont mind going alittle bigger but i dont want6 to go radical.
