New IAC pigtail, now won't idle
Hey everyone.
I just wired in a new pigtail connector for the IAC stepper motor since the clip on the old one broke and would unplug itself from the IAC.
I soldered in the new connector using the old one as a wiring guide but now the car won't idle at all.
It starts and revs up to somewhere around 1100 RPM (going by ear) but once it tries to go down to idle speed it completely stalls with little to no surging to try and keep itself running.
I've looked at wiring diagrams and pictures of other connectors on the internet and it looks like I have it wired right. (Going off the "A" and "B" on the connector itself: Upper "A" BLU/WHT, Upper "B" BLU/BLK, Lower "A" GRN/BLK, Lower "B" GRN/WHT)
Could the IAC motor itself be shot now? I also read a bad TPS can be a part of the problem but I wanted to get a second opinion before I go throwing parts at my car, wasting money on things I don't need.
Thanks in advance!
P.S. The car ran and idled fine before this.
