looking at a new intake and roller rockers, in site?
I'm getting ready to basicly tear the drivetrain out of my car but I still have a few questions on some possible upgrades before I jump the band wagon. Right now iv got a stock l31 vortec with a standard performer intake and a 600 carter afb carb and an eBay distributer, stock 700r4, with a stock 3.42 open diff. I'm installing an auburn 3.73 rear diff, adding a b&m shift improver kit, a Daaco 2800-3200 stall converter, a corvette servo, and an auto zone trans cooler. The motor iv upgraded to Alex spring, I have an accel distributer with an and coil, an accel 300+ ignition box, and a comp cams xr270hr camshaft. Now my question is I have the option to buy a set of hard land sharp 1.6 roller rockers for $50 but o have to buy a Polly locks ($50) for a set. Are they worth it and would I need longer pushrods? My second question is on an intake, should I move to an RPM performer intake and move away from my performer? Would I see any gains? I'm trying to cover all my bases here and do everything at once. I'm also buying a set of iroc rims for added tire grip, and thinking about upgrading my LCAs and lanyard bar while the rear is out with some new springs.
