Re: Mystery hose?
I Bought The Car And It Was Torn Apart, All The Vaccum Lines Were Unhooked Or cut So This One Was Propped Up Along The Firewall, The Heat Seems To Work But Not Sure On The Ac Because I Have not Put The Belt Back On, I Don't Think The Vents In The Center Of the Dash are Blowing When The Fan Is on But Thats All Ive Noticed As Far As Not working

Re: Mystery hose?
Is there a vacuum valve on the snorkel of the air cleaner it might go to?

Re: Mystery hose?
The only two vacuum lines I know of coming thru the firewall go to the engine for vacuum to the A/C heater and the other goes to the heater control valve on the heater hoses. Did somebody do away with the heater control valve?

Re: Mystery hose?
There is no heater control valve on an 85. That's gonna have to be HVAC control vacuum. Should go to a vacuum canister with manifold vacuum on the other port of it. Mine is mounted by the wiper motor.

Still not Seeing A Spot To Hook It Up, The Hose Looks Like It Wants To Naturally Lay Over By The Wiper Motor

Re: Mystery hose?
You can see the line hooked into the vacuum canister behind the master cylinder. If you don't have one you can hook it up to the intake manifold on the tee behind the carb, but you vent doors will work very slow, possibly not at all if you have low vacuum. You would be advised to get one.
