Changing the distributor in my '85 IROC to and '87+ style...What's needed?
Hi, I'm changing the ditributor in my '85 IROC TPI (the HEI coil in cap design) to a '87 and up distributor, because it's smaller and uses an external coil (also the only distributor I can use in my new project). I see the wiring is different on these, can anyone give me any help as to how to make the new '87 distributor compatible with my '85's wiring harness?

You'll see the wire colors are the same, just change connectors.
