A friend told me about a trick for finding head CC's
Take a hypodermic without the needle that is marked in cc's.
Lay the head flat and level and with the hypo draw engine oil up and squirt it in the head until it is level with the top noting the amout of oil you draw up each time. The end result is the head cc's.

Thanks for the info., those heads were for sale on ebay. So I was trying to figure out if they would work good. Due to a blown head gasket/cracked head. I am in need of some cheap performance heads. Thanks again.

When it come to stock heads it is not really the cc that you should be worried about, because you can mill them down very easily. Aluminum vs. Iron, any work that has been done, and there life, no overheating; thats what you need to be concerned with them. Playing around with stock heads isn't the best idea because you can hog out some Dart Iron Eagles more easily and they will cost the same, after machine work.

I bought some TPI 350 castings, because I wanted a good performing head with the rigth bolt pattern. Plus, they had already been milled, new seals, and cut for bigger springs. This is just a temporary fix, until my 400 goes in.
