Paging Markolc

I was looking at the pix in your homepage. I like that custom cold air on your car. I was wandering how did you do it?

It was a nice trick setup that the previous owner had done in his quest for low 9's, which he achieved in the mid 90's. The car sat under a cover for the next 4-5 years till I decided to pick it up. I still have that setup, but do not run it, as I don't have the radiator shroud needed to attach it to. Tell ya what though, it almost looks stock the way it's done, real professional qualty welding and fabricating.

Well the part that goes into the headlight was made by sheets of steel welded together to take the sahpe of a headlight, with a rounded off face...In the headlight piece lay a sponge type filter soaked in a type of oil, with a mesh screen in front to keep it looking nice. The orange hose is just dryer hose. The two 90 degree elbows are made of aluminum, and are about 3.5" piping. No clue where he got that two elbows. They screwed onto a custom radiator shorund where from there they went to a fitting that joined the two elbows and lead to a giant rectangular housing for the 4 barrel EFI manifold to suck air. Sorry I can't get too specific as I'm not the guy that built the stuff, and have only seen it installed 100% in pictures. I only have half the stuff in my basement now, I don't have the rectangular airbox, or the piece that joined the two elbows together.

The header in the picture looks like it was from www.Burnsstainless.com. I'm guessing the aluminum elbows came from there too. Caution: $$$ expensive

Maybe, but I think the previous owner had everything done local to him (Long Island). He didn't really mail order because he was always complaining about fitment troubles, and they're a bastard to return once you bang up stuff.
